ADMACO: MONTREAL'S PREMIER PRINTER AND COPIER DISTRIBUTORS

OUR HISTORY

Admaco has been serving Montreal for over 60 years. First called the Adding Machine Company, we offered the sales, service and short-term rentals of typewriters and calculators. In 1977 we changed our name to Admaco, still offering typewriters and calculators, but also added black and white photocopiers to our line of products.

Three years after changing names and getting into the copier business, we expanded from our store front operation, and opened our sales office, again expanding our product line by adding dictating machines and Paymaster Check Writers, while still maintaining our core business of typewriters and calculators.

In the summer of 1991, we expanded again, and moved to a bigger sales office with our store front now fully integrated.

WHO WE ARE TODAY

In the last few years our core business has changed from typewriters and calculators, to colour and black and white photocopiers. Although we still carry a few typewriters for the odd request, a copier is no longer just a copier. Today, we offer full solutions with photocopiers that are able to fax, scan to an email address, or serve as a fully functional network laser printer.

Today, we can offer any office in Montreal, whether it’s a multi-national company or a one-man operation, a full line of new and pre-owned colour copiers and black and white copiers, from desktop models to high production copiers, as well as a full line of paper shredders, large format printers (plotters) for design, posters and architectural drawings, card and label printers. We also offer scanning and shredding services. Count on us for many great products for lease or rent, available on a short-term rental or cost per copy plan basis.

We have always strived to supply our clients with the best quality products at a reasonable price. When we started selling photocopiers, we were authorized Toshiba copier dealers. However for the past 24 years, we have also become authorized Konica Minolta copier dealers. There are many different copier manufacturers like Xerox, Ricoh and Canon that have been in the industry for a very long time and have an excellent product offering. Some newer copier manufacturers that have taken some market share are Kyocera, Sharp and Samsung. You are probably wondering how Konica Minolta compares to all these other manufacturers. Well, we do not speak about our competition, as we expect our competition to speak of us, since it's easy to say something isn't good when you know nothing about it. A machine is a machine and it's the service you get that makes the difference. Admaco offers the best service in the city.
